Airport Connections

Lech Walesa Gdansk Airport boasts excellent connections to the City Centre.

Passengers can get to the Lech Walesa Gdansk Airport by trains running on four routes of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway line. The Gdansk Airport station is located right next to the T2 passenger terminal and is connected to it by a special footbridge.  

Tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine located on the platform or from the train manager.  The SKM carrier’s tariff applies to trains serving the PKM line (SKM and PolRegio) (also for journeys with a change at the Gdansk Wrzeszcz station in the direction Gdansk Śródmieście [Gdansk Downtown] or Sopot/ Gdynia).

All bus connections are handled by Zakład Komunikacji Miejskiej [Department of Public Transport] in Gdansk. Lech Walesa’s Gdansk Airport can be reached directly by buses: from Gdansk Główny (No. 210 and night line N3), Gdansk Lostowice – Swietokrzyska (No. 120), Gdansk Wrzeszcz (conference Venue) (No. 110), Sopot (No. 122). 

Tickets can be purchased on the bus from the driver, ticket machines at bus stops or using one of the applications accepted by the Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego [Public Transport Authority] (GoPay, jakdojade.pl, moBiLET, mPay, SkyCash, zbiletem.pl).

A one-way ticket costs 2,40 PLN (reduced-fare) and 4,80 PLN (full-fare).

Arriving by train

The closest train station located near the conference Venue is Gdansk Wrzeszcz.

The connections are operated by PKP Intercity (Poland’s largest rail operator). Tickets can be bought online. Check the timetable and find connection.

Arriving by car

Conference participants arriving by car will be able to use Gdańsk University of Technology parking lot for quests located at J. Fiszer Street (see the map). Open hours:

• Monday, September 12: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, September 13: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday September 14: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

NOTE: Participants wishing to use the car park are required to provide the vehicle registration numbers by e-mail to dr.rafal.lech@ieee.org by 05/09/2022 at the latest.

Public transportation

All conference participants will receive a 3-day ticket for public transportation (busses and trams) in Gdansk.
